Also, persons involved in Construction, operation, and inspection and maintenance of steel storage tanks, pressure vessels, or steel piping systems, this course will helpful.
Tank shell and roof can be monitored manually and automatically without shutting down the facility from outside, how often this need to be done and what is acceptance criteria for corroded plate thickness. The tanks bottom plate is most critical from inspection point as any leakage below the tank cannot be seen till it is substantial and then, it may be cause for a major failure.
There are various methods of tank inspection which includes visual inspections, UT measurements etc. for shell and roof plate and each of theme is discussed.
